Nicolas Cage's crazy drunken behavior just got a lot less funny. According to a police report obtained by RadarOnline, Cage's 5-year-old son Kal-El was present during the events of his New Orleans arrest -- and Cage's behavior towards him required a child abuse detective to investigate.
The incident report from the morning of April says that "at some point, Mr. Cage fell while holding their son. The fall caused the five-year-old child to suffer a minor abrasion to his left knee, and she (Cage's wife Alice) then recovered the child."
That part sounds bad, but another witness saw something even more upsetting. According to the report, an officer was told by "an unknown white male passerby, who was walking a dog" that he had "observed Mr. Cage pull the male child to the ground by his hand."
Although police photographed Kal-El's injury, his mom declined to let the police interview him and wouldn't write her own statement of the incident. According to the report, Kim told police that she and Cage were "involved in a verbal altercation... (Cage) grabbed her by the upper right arm and pulled her to what he believed was the correct location." She bore "no visible injuries," said that Cage "was not attempting to injure her" and declined to press domestic abuse charges against Cage.
The report goes on to say that, based on Alice's testimony and the witness reports, a child abuse detective was notified. The abuse detective declared that "no further investigation was merited," but said that Child Protective Services may still launch its own investigation.
At the moment, Cage is in the clear -- and he took advantage of being a free man to attend his 20-year-old son Weston's wedding on Easter Sunday. Weston, the lead singer of the metal band Eyes of Noctum, ditched his usual goth gear for a tuxedo when he married musician Nikki Williams. The young couple got hitched at the Omni Royal Hotel in New Orleans, left in a limo, and moved to a yacht on Lake Pontchartrain for the reception. According to People's source, "Nic was smiling and happy as he toasted the happy couple on the back of the boat." Take note, Nic: That's what a father-son moment is supposed to look like.
