Dan Wheldon and Wife Tattoo Matching Initials Night Before Death

Dan Wheldon and his wife got his and hers tattoos the night before he died. As if this story could get any sadder. This story has just broken my heart. After seeing Dan holding his children and standing beside his wife, then hearing about how he questioned the safety of the track, I am just at a loss. To put icing on the cake, Dan and his wife had just gotten his and her wrist tattoos of their initials while in Las Vegas at a tattoo shop inside the Palms. Wheldon died tragically on Sunday when his car ran into another car at an angle on the track’s banked curve. Clark County Coroner Michael Murphy said the race car driver died of blunt head trauma. NASCAR champion, Jimmie Johnson, watched the accident from his home, and is now urging IndyCar to stop racing on oval tracks. “I wouldn’t run them on ovals. There’s just no need to.
